Thanet Farmers Market
Join us in 2017 at a brand new venue!
St George's School is located just around the corner from our last venue and we are looking forward to welcoming customers to our new home. The majority of stalls will still be located inside, and our regular traders have already confirmed they will be at the February market including Nethergong Nurseries, Stour Valley Game, Beth's Mogador, Baps & Bloomers, Little Stour Orchard, Enzo's Bakery, South Barn Gifts, Smoke & Spice, Independent Trotters, Martin's Plants, The Ramsgate Brewery and Once Upon a Cupcake. The Market Cafe will also be open as usual serving hot/cold drinks and bacon rolls.
Thanet Farmers' Market is a monthly food market which is organised and run by three local producers. It provides a regular opportunity for residents to buy food and drink which is sourced from East Kent and predominantly from Thanet. The market is run as a Community Interest Company (CIC) which has been set up for the benefit of the local community.
St George's School is located around 1.5 miles from Broadstairs town centre. It has plenty of inside and outside space, enabling the market to operate in comfort all year round.
We have producers at the market selling meat, game, fruit & vegetables, eggs, bread, cheese, cakes, jam, chutney, fudge, fruit juice, cider, beer and much, much more! Our core market is around 25 stalls which are predominantly food & drink, including a few guest crafts, a charity stall and a community group. Each month we also have guest food or drink producers to help ensure continued variety and choice for our customers. In November and December we hold larger markets when we have additional artisan craft and seasonal food.
The Market Cafe sells refreshments including tea, coffee, cold drinks and bacon rolls. Seating is provided so there is space to relax and meet with friends.
Please note that St George's School does not allow smoking anywhere on the school site. Dogs are not allowed inside the school buildings.
