Our Beaches are Beautiful in Margate,Broadstairs and Ramsgate
Thanet's beaches are simply impossible to resist. Stunning in their scenery, their variety astounds too. Surfer hangouts neighbour chalk-backed expanses. Here you can surf, swimming or sailing. Gaze into rock pools, build a sandcastle, cycle shorelines, munch on chips, go barefoot beachcombing or simply chill out.
Thanet's 15 sandy beaches and bays stretch from Pegwell Bay in the south to Minnis Bay in the north. Long famous for their beauty, this year has notched up six Blue Flag awards and four Seaside Awards
Across the Isle, experts are itching to teach you how to surf, canoe and sail. Cycle or hike the 32-mile (51.4km) Viking Coastal Trail. The Thanet Coast Project runs family friendly and educational shoreline events. Ramsgate's Sea Searcher offers wildlife-watching tours and fishing charters, while RIB Request offers seal, wind farm spotting trips

High-speed services mean the shores of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate are less than two hours away from London.
