KENTS NEW MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FIRST WAVE OF ARTISTS
Taking place on Saturday 24th September 2016, Southbeats Festival will welcome 10,000 festival-goers to Birchington’s historic Quex Park, in what will become Kent’s only major commercial outdoor music event.
The one-day festival will showcase some of the UK’s biggest DJs and chart-topping artists across multiple stages.
Amongst the first acts announced is British grime & hip hop heavyweight Kano, Drum & Bass duo Camo & Krooked and Philip George, who has two debut UK Top 5 singles to his name. Also playing at the festival is Low Steppa, Friction, TQD (Royal-T, DJ Q, Flava D), KISS FM’s Majestic, Craig Crompton and local duo Shapes.
The main headliner is yet to be announced and the next wave of artists will be revealed in the coming weeks, with even more big names set to join the bill.
The organisers of Southbeats Festival said “We are delighted to be able to bring this new and exciting music event to Thanet. With such a young demographic and thriving student population, Kent has been screaming out for a major music festival for years and we can’t wait to bring an authentic outdoor festival atmosphere to the local area. In terms of location, Quex Park for us was a no-brainer. It is a stunning setting and has great transport links from Kent and London. We are thrilled to be working with a venue with so much history.”
Tickets are currently priced at £32.50 (+ booking fee) and are on sale now. VIP tickets are also available and offer “an exclusive VIP area, luxury toilets, gourmet food stalls, private VIP bar, free lanyard/programme and much more”.
