The Big Draw
22 Oct 2016
We're excitied to be part of the Big Draw charity event for the 2nd year running!
This time the theme is STEAM, or merging the art of science, maths, engineering and technology with ART itself.
On the Saturday 22nd Oct 2016 from 9-5pm we will be having 3 local artists coming in to do FREE drawing workshops in the gallery. There are limited spaces so BOOK your place now by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01843 292757.
Not only that, but there will be a working steam machine on site, a science themed drawing booklet to draw and colour in and lots more FAMILY FRIENDLY activites too, as well as special offers on drawing materials.
The workshops will be run by noted illustrator Hannah Clark, award-winning illustrator Alex Foster and internationally renowned watercolourist and sculptor Angela Malone.
Hannah's workshop consists of a biological themed still life, consisting of an exciting arrange of bones, plants and animals for you to draw! Hannah's workshop starts at 11am.
Or how about Alex Foster's editorial illustration workshop: answering an art director's request to illustrate a magazine article about how house plants are good for us. If you ever wanted to know just how an illustrator works, then this is for you! Alex's workshop starts at 12.30pm.
And finally, you could join Angela Malone and her STEAMPUNK themed life drawing workshop. Draw a clothed life model dressed in the finest steampunk clothing with advice from Angela. Her workshop starts at 2pm.
All workshops are at Lovelys, are FREE (though donations to the Big Draw charity encouraged), last for an hour and ALL drawing materials will be provided
