Feast for your Eyes II

26 Sep 2017 - 08 Oct 2017

Featuring local artists work in all media and all disciplines, New Kent Art Gallery in the heart of Broadstairs has put together an exhibition inspired by all things foodie.

Cafe culture and culinary delights are celebrated in photography by Eleanor Marriott, wonderfully quirky mixed media by Janie Grout, stunning oil paintings by Brian Hodgson and Peter Campbell-Saunders, as well as Carl Scarlett and Karen Hiscock-Lawrence.

There will also be beautiful hand-painted ceramics by Lana Arkhi who recently won the Best Porcelain Prize at the Royal Miniature Society exhibition in London's Mall Gallery. Lana has exhibited with New Kent Art since it opened in 2016 and has brought her traditional Russian blue work as well bespoke local scenes to the people of Thanet.

Mosaic artist Kate Baker will show glass and mosaic works, whilst Anne-Marie Rymill's photography and Angela Carpenter's bright acrylics are always colourful and bright additions to the gallery.

Last year saw a wonderful response to the work which offered something different and yet complementary to the fabulous food and drinks that fill the town during the Food Festival.
