August Activities at the Powell-Cotton Museum
Bored, listless, and lacking things to do? - the children, that is, not you!
The August Activities programme is back, and we are bringing you a celebration of all things photographic this summer to celebrate Percy Powell-Cotton's passion for photography. Discover the history of photography with the Powell-Cotton Museum. Each week we will be exploring different ways images can be created. Have a go at making a cyanotype, create your own camera obscura and use a modern digital camera to create very different images.
Week 1 - 1st - 4th August - Camera Obscuras
Week 2 - 8th -11th August - Kaleidoscopes
Week 3 - 15th -18th August - Cyanotypes
Week 4 - 22nd - 25th August - Periscopes
Week 5 - 28th August -1st September - Stop Motion
Sessions run from 11am-12.30pm, and from1.30-3pm.
All activities are suitable for children aged 5 years and over.
Adults £8.95; children £6.50 (includes admission to the Museum, House and Gardens).
