Cardboard Arcade

18 Feb 2018

Taking place in the Octopus Garden

Penny arcades have been an integral part of the heritage of amusement parks for many decades and this Sunday creative youngsters will have the opportunity to make their own arcade games.

The Dreamland Trust is working with Margate based Tootles & Nibs to bring the ‘Cardboard Arcade’ to Dreamland. The free activity taking place in the Octopus Garden, will give children up to the age of 8 the opportunity of taking part in a workshop to learn how to make their own arcade games out of re-cycled cardboard.

The drop in workshop is part of the popular Geek Festival running over the weekend.  Youngsters will be able to draw inspiration from Dreamland’s pinball collection before taking part in the workshop and help to create their own recycled arcade game.

‘Cardboard Arcade will run on Sunday 18th February from 12noon to 4pm
