A big friendly welcome awaits you!

Inspired by the Big Apple Greeters of New York who were formed in 1992, Kent County Council and Thanet District Council have led the creation of the Thanet Greeters. The Thanet Greeter Programme enables visitors to meet with local people from Thanet who are freindly and enthusiastic about the area in which they live. This can enrich their experience and enjoyment of Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and surrounding villages.
