What to do

Variety is the key to our appeal and however you want to spend your time, you won't be short-changed in Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate.

If you like to be active there are great opportunities for walking, cycling, high-adrenalin water sports and land-based fun, but if you prefer a quieter, less energetic break there are golf courses, museums and attractions to explore, we even have our very own stately home, a real hidden gem in Kent.

Watch the boats in Ramsgate's Royal harbour whilst enjoying a drink or snack at one of the many seafront cafes.

You must also check out what the Thanet Coast Project are up to. As leaders in their field they have something for children of all ages, from seashore safaris to walks with the Rock Doc – great fun and educational too.
