Year-round, calendar fixtures and exciting new diary dates are themed around music, arts, sports, food and drink. Many are free and, with Thanet’s fast transport links, make a perfect day out or ideal focus for a short break away. Celebrate Easter, Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas at the coast 

Margate offers the Soul Festival, Carnival and Margate Meltdown plus art talks and exhibitions at the Turner Contemporary and independent galleries. 

Broadstairs tempts you with its annual foot-tapping Folk Week, scrumptious three-day Food Festival, and the elegant Dickens Festival 

The Ramsgate Festival of Sound event celebrate's the town's unique architecture and landscape via a Sonic Trail plus a variety of entertainment for all the family to enjoy. Back for 2024 is Ramsgate through the Senses, a festival weekend with a range of events to inspire each of your 5 senses. Ramsgate Week is packed with sailing events. Look out for monthly craft markets and weekly art exhibitions. 

In the areas chalk rock pools, chalk stacks and rare chalk reefs teem with wildlife – discover them on one of the Thanet Coast Project's regular Seashore Safaris.
