Wheels and Fins Festival
7th September - 9th September 2018
Building on the active lifestyle already heavily evident at the beach, the event, the ‘Wheels and Fins Festival’, is a three-day action packed music, extreme sport & beach festival including main events such as; a Skateboard Mini Ramp Competition, Bmxing, Slacklining, Surfing Events, Live Music & Licensed Bars
Joss Bay beach in Broadstairs, Kent, offers one of the finest sandy beaches within an easy commute from all over the South East. It is also the closest recognised surf break to London with various surf competitions hosted throughout the year.
The festival is only an hour and a half from London on the high-speed train making it a day trip for any eager beach thrill seeker. Not many festivals around the UK can boast that.
This year the event sees over 80 live acts across 3 stages with headliners including The Libertines, Feeder, Faithless (DJ set), Example and DJ Wire, Sub Focus and High Contrast.
The ‘Tim Peaks’ stage will feature performances from: Deja Vega, Average Sex, Blackwaters, Autopilot, Meister and Delights.
Just announced - The Libertines will be taking over Sunday 9th September to launch 'Sharabang'. This is the first ever Libertines Festival which will hopefully become a regular happening with headliners including Echo & The Bunnymen, Reverend & The Makers, Chas & Dave and Cabbage. Poet and theatre maker Luke Wright will be compering throughout the day.
