COVID-19 – Stay Safe, Stay Alert
We love welcoming visitors to our spectacular isle all year round and usually shout about its unique offering for all types of visitors. However, with our area entering into the National Lockdown (Stay at Home) restrictions from Wednesday 6th January, we are asking you to keep safe and adhere to the new government guidelines

If you were planning to visit our beautiful resorts but have had to put your visit on hold, we hope you can look forward to another visit in the future. If you’ve already booked accommodation or an activity, consider asking the provider if it is possible to delay your trip rather than refunding it or cancelling outright. It could really help a small business to weather this storm and still be there when you do come to stay.
If you visit our beaches and bays, please adhere to the latest Government guidelines for social distancing and stay safe. Please respect our coastline and other people and leave only your footprints in the sand.
As shops temporarily close their doors, you can still browse for that perfect birthday, anniversary or gift for yourself, at their online stores. #ShopLocal
While you may not be able to visit for a little while, please keep an eye on our social media channels for updates and calming, inspirational content
We look forward to welcoming you back with open arms, as soon as it is safe to do so. Remember: this is temporary. We’ll see you all again soon
Our Thanet Visitor Information Centre building will be closed until further notice, however the team are still able to respond to telephone, email and social media enquiries between Wednesday and Sunday, 10am-5pm.
We are working to ensure that information on the website is relevant and up-to-date. However, due to the ever-changing nature of the current situation, please check directly with the business
Stay safe and we'll see you soon
