MSF Celebrates its 20th year with a host of UK & International Artists. Over the years the UK’s biggest soul event has played host to a stellar line up of international artists such as Arrested Development, Soul to Soul, The Jones Girls, Jean Carne, Incognito, Bah Samba, Gwen Dickey and so many more.

This year's line-up brings together 4 decades of top quality artists, topped by a Sunday headline performance from USA songstress Melba Moore. 'Native New Yorkers' Odyssey, Angela Ricci with Brand New Heavies, ‘Defected Records’ Julie McKnight, ‘Lovers Rock Queen’ Carroll Thompson will also join us for this event. Add to this the proficient singer-songwriter, house, jazz and soul vocalist, Juliet Roberts who will curate an M.S.F exclusive performance, celebrating the life of Aretha Franklin and new UK modern soul band SouLutions headed by Louise Mehan hailing from the North East of England makes this another year of super live performances alongside some of the UK’s biggest DJ talent.

“More acts are being confirmed to make this 20 year celebration very special and It will be a bumper line up of some of the best soul artists, still touring and performing all over the world” states festival partner Gordon Mac of Mi-Soul Radio London.

Melba Moore’s career is vast and decorated with both commercial and underground hits. It was in 1975 that Moore signed with Buddah Records and released the critically successful R&B album, Peach Melba. She found UK success with her top 10 hit 'This Is It' which also became the number 1 disco track in the UK for that year. Questionably the most notable song which features today on every soul club dancefloor is the superb 12inch 'Standing Right Here'.

THE GLORY DAYS of top vocal group Odyssey, one of the most successful soul/disco acts of their era, culminated in the early 1980’s when they topped the charts with 'Use It Up And Wear It Out', scoring several other Top Ten hits in Britain and throughout the world. The Brand New Heavies have been one of the leading specialists of the UK Acid Jazz, Funk sound since releasing their 1st, self titled, silver award winning album in 1990.
