A Night to Remember: The World Turned Upside Down Documentary co-produced by Jemma Cullen & Open School East with filmmakers from East Kent Mencap and the Margate Adult Education Centre. This wonderful and anarchic film is the result of a 14-week filmmaking course ran in summer 2019. The purpose was to throw open the doors to an ‘art world’ space in a community undergoing big changes. Created through a series of improvisation sessions, the group wrote, directed, acted in and designed the main feature. The ‘making of’ was assembled from footage shot by the group during the filmmaking process.
The show will feature in an 'Arts Crawl' a guided tour around art exhibitions in Margate taking place on Thursday 5th March 6-9pm.
The POW! Thanet Festival takes place from the 6th-15th March 2020, an annual Festival of Arts and Culture celebrating International Women's Day in locations across Thanet.
