Ramsgreat Week

To mark October Half Term, Ramsgate is association with 'Back and Fill' Festival host a series of events across the town. The name of the event 'Ramsgreat' is inspired by the public art piece at Leopold Street Car Park installed overnight in September by mysterious local artist, known only as Mr Tear Gas.

Ramsgreat Week is one of twelve coastal town festivals, happening during October half-term as part of Back & Fill https://backandfill.uk a national effort to encourage people to visit coastal towns and support small seaside economies affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

*Saturday 24th October Dog fancy dress party at Royal Harbour Brasserie 

*Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October Artists' Open Houses 2020 - View the work of artists, makers and crafters in their homes and studios 

*Wednesday 28th October join a Circus Skills workshop in Ramsgate 

*Wednesday 28th October ‘The Sea Show’ a quirky and hilarious puppet show, combing natural history with comedy cabaret at Small Boat Owner Club 

*Saturday 31st October at 8pm Screaming Alley Halloween online event. Dress like the ghouls you are, fix a stiff drink, draw yourselves real close to the screen and prepare for a night of cheap thrills and outrageous games

*Saturday 31st Artisan and vintage pop-up show ‘Makers of Ramsgate' at Homebasics Store

*Dive in and explore 30 treasured sites around Ramsgate using a new digital map in collaboration with The Earth Museum 

*Ramsgate Arts Barge present live music event 'Busk on the Barge'

*Exhibitions at Nice Things, Gallery 98, York Street Gallery, McGillan & Woodell, The Front Room, 28 Addington Street and Pop-Up Gallery on The Broadway


The festival is being produced by Ramsgate Arts and Ramsgate Town Promoter with funding from Ramsgate Town Council
