Margate Winter Gardens, Thanet’s leading concert and banqueting venue, has been granted full planning permission and will be reopening in 2027.
ㅤ
The Main Hall will be open in March 2027, with tickets already on sale for its first shows under new management.
Future plans for the seafront venue include a rooftop bar and restaurant, a drama school and a 100-place nursery.
The venue dates from 1910, but was rebuilt after being damaged during World War Two, going on to host artists such as the Beatles and Dame Vera Lynn, but closed in 2022. The masterplan to rejuvenate the venue also include the reopening of the Main Hall and Queen's Hall, which will be made fully accessible, with the existing decorative features and balconies being retained.
