Union Church, Margate, is a vibrant and friendly community, formed in May 1998 from the uniting of St Stephen's Methodist Church and Margate URC on URC premises. Later they were joined by the members of Buckingham Road Chapel, which had closed.
The Church currently hosts Margate Social Singing Choir, Thanet Parkinson's Group, and Girl Guiding units, as well as Tai Chi, badminton and chess clubs... and those are just a few of the activities undertaken at this useful community facility.
The current Church is housed in the former Sunday School, belonging to the original Chapel, which was built on Union Crecent in 1860.
