Zana Glaser is an artist who lives and works in Margate. As well as artwork, Zana has practised video poetry and poetry.

"A few years ago," says Zana, "I turned some of my poetry into artwork. I enjoyed this very much and it became the catalyst for more artwork."

Zana's paintings are about lives and experiences. In every painting she tries to tell a story. She works on wooden panel and makes her own frames.

"Preparing and making everything yourself," she says, "gives a painting something of your heart and soul. Working the wood is an integral part of my routine."

Zana signs her work, "Cactus."
