Painted from life, Brogan Bertie's portraits are full of fast brushstrokes, flicking paint, an urgency that reveals a painfully human desperation to capture a moment where every mark made measures the moment passing.

Family, loved ones, and acquaintances make up this show, exposing the same truth: an insatiable hunger for connection, a deep reverence for our humanness, and the desire to shed loneliness like a skin and sink into other people.
