Part of a new family film and creative programme with Small World Cinema, bringing imaginative cinema experiences and playful creative activities to children, young people, and families throughout the year.
Bringing together screenings, creative activities, sensory play, and hands-on making, the programme invites young audiences to explore storytelling, colour, light, movement, and sound through playful shared experiences designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
Morning Session: Cinemini, 10.30am – 11.45am, Suitable for ages 2–5
A specially designed film event for young children and their grown-ups, featuring short films, sensory play, and creative exploration inspired by the magic of cinema. Cinemini creates a welcoming and inclusive environment for families to discover film together through light, shadow, colour, reflections, movement, and play. Children are encouraged to explore freely, responding to the films and activities in their own way.

Get ready for a spooky afternoon of film, creativity and Halloween fun at Turner Contemporary!
This Halloween, join Small World Cinema for a special screening of Alfie, the Little Werewolf; a sweet and funny film from the Netherlands about a seven-year-old boy who discovers a rather surprising secret about himself. As well as being a fun Halloween adventure, the film is a lovely story about growing up, finding out who you are and learning to celebrate what makes you different. Please note that the film has English subtitles but can be understood and enjoyed even if you miss a few words here and there.
Before the film screening, get creative with our themed arts and crafts, making your own spooky masks and special paper nails (or claws!) to transform yourself into your favourite Halloween creature.
