Join Claire Linney at Happy Reading for a time travelling adventure through some of the fascinating (but unknown) figures of Black British history. Discover the inspiration behind her award winning Time Tub Travellers series and create your own time travelling adventure. Packed with facts about history that kids will find exciting and engaging this session explores a new series that is full of adventure and intrigue!

Time Tub Travellers in an award-winning series that brings figures from Black British history to life in fast-paced adventure stories. Join Zula and Milo as they find themselves exploring the dangerous streets of Tudor London and the thrilling world of the Victorian circus. These books are perfect for highlighting untold stories from the past for 8 to 12 year olds.

Children will sit at a child’s play table & chairs or be stood around a crafting table, and will be provided with equipment including washable colouring pencils/crayons/pens depending on their age and ability. There are a couple of seats for adults who wish to attend with their children, otherwise adults will be expected to stand and watch (and join in if they like), or enjoy a lovely coffee and pastry downstairs in STAPLE.
