There’s something special about live music by the sea. The sound of guitars drifting through the summer air. Friends dancing together. Cold drinks in hand. The energy of a festival crowd and the unmistakable atmosphere of The Oval Bandstand. That’s what Margate Country Music Festival is all about.

Returning for 2027, they’re bringing together exceptional live artists, interactive entertainment, great food and drink, and a welcoming festival atmosphere to create an unforgettable summer experience.

Whether you’re a lifelong country music fan or discovering the genre for the first time, Country by the Sea is your invitation to enjoy incredible live music in one of Britain’s most distinctive coastal venues.

THE 2027 LINE-UP:

CHLOE LOADER: One of the UK’s most exciting emerging country artists, Chloe Loader combines contemporary country influences with powerful vocals and an engaging live performance that has earned her a growing reputation on the UK country music scene.
REN JACKSON: Returning to Margate after a fantastic reception, Ren Jackson brings soulful vocals, infectious energy and modern country anthems guaranteed to have the crowd singing from the very first song.
SMOKIN MAVERICKS: Inspired by artists including Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton and Zac Brown Band, Smokin Mavericks combine authentic country, Southern rock and outstanding musicianship. Their high-energy live performances have earned them a reputation as one of the UK's most exciting country bands.
LONG ROAD REVIVAL: Fresh from appearances at Country Calling and Together Again Festival, Long Road Revival bring modern country, Southern rock influences and outstanding musicianship to Country by the Sea, making them one of the UK's most exciting emerging country bands.

THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE: The music doesn’t stop between the live performances. Throughout the day, DJ TBX will keep the festival atmosphere alive with today’s biggest country hits and crowd favourites. Interactive line-dancing sessions suitable for everyone, whether you’re learning your first steps or already know every routine. The festival will also feature: Festival bar Street food Relaxed seating areas Family-friendly atmosphere.

FOOD AND DRINK: Enjoy a fantastic selection of food and refreshments throughout the day. The Oval Bar will be serving beer, cider, wines, prosecco, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks. The Oval Café will offer hot drinks, cold refreshments and sweet treats, while a selection of street-food traders will be serving freshly prepared food throughout the festival. Only food and drink purchased at the venue may be consumed inside the ticketed festival area. Bag searches will be carried out on entry. Guests wishing to bring their own food are welcome to enjoy a picnic on the surrounding public lawns before entering the festival.

SEATING: A range of seating will be available, including picnic benches, deckchairs, chairs, gazebos and parasols. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. We recommend arriving early if you have a preferred seating area.

This is a family-friendly outdoor festival. Under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children under fifteen attend free. Cash and card payments will be accepted. Tickets are issued electronically through Eventbrite. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
