Chump's Comedy is bringing you the biggest and best comedy show Margate has seen in a long long time at the soon to be reopened Margate Winter Gardens

Celebrate the reopening weekend of the iconic Margate Winter Gardens with one of the UK’s most respected and inventive entertainers for thirty years... the award-winning comedian, presenter and author Harry Hill.

Winner of the first ever Best Newcomer Award at Edinburgh Fringe, he started his own ingenious comedy series on BBC Two and Channel 4, and went on to create the multiple award-winning ITV series Harry Hill’s TV Burp, which ran for ten years.

He created and starred in three series of ITV’s Harry Hill’s Alien Fun Capsule, BBC Two’s Harry Hill’s World of TV, was the longstanding voice of ITV’s You’ve Been Framed, and is now the presenter of Channel 4’s Junior Bake Off.

Joining Harry on this momentous night of comedy are Taskmaster star Fatiha El-Ghorri, award winning stand up Laura Smyth, Dane Buckley, the world’s only Irish, Indian, gay comedian… (probably), and host for the evening James Gill.

Margate Winter Gardens originally opened in 1911 and hosted legendary acts from the worlds of comedy and music. From The Beatles, Blur and The Smiths to Tommy Cooper, Laurel and Hardy, and Morecambe and Wise. Having been closed for years, this iconic venue is reopening March 2027.
