Royal Harbour Walk
Meet at The Clock House, Pier Yard, 2.25pm
Ramsgate is proud to boast the only Royal Harbour in the British Isles, the honour having been bestowed by King George IV in 1821. See Smeaton's famous dry dock, and learn about Ramsgate's vast 19th century fishing industry. Hear about the part the town played in the miraculous evacuation of Allied troops from northern France in 1940 & the courage of the Dunkirk Little Ships, whose 85th anniversary was celebrated across the town in 2025, and commemorated again this year.
