Just a few minutes from both the station and the Old Town, and with first floor views and a suntrap balcony looking over Margate Sands, Marine Studios Arts & Culture is at the heart of the town’s creative scene.

Established in 2009, Marine Studios is a creative co-working space with permanent desks, hot desks, a Writers' Room, a library and meeting room rental.

Marine Studios is home to Houghton Kneale Design, Dan Thompson Studio, Co-relate, HOL Group, Kent Poetry CIC, Margate Bookie, Plastic Free Thanet, and others.

As well as holding regular free writing sprints and writer critique groups, each month the studio hosts First Friday, an open studio event that showcases a range of creative practices and creates a space for discussion and research. Come and see!
