The Old Wine Warehouse is now a creative centre with co-working offices on the first floor, the new bar and performance space in the basement run by Ramsgate Arts Club and the street level space which will form the restaurant and encompass the courtyard opposite for an outdoor café, community gardens and entertainment venue.
The building in Charlotte Court was originally built for the storage of wine by merchants Page & Sons who were established in 1804 and continue to trade from the town today.
Live music, comedy, alt-cabaret and community film screenings are planned for the developing business, as they look to extend opening hours.
Ramsgate Arts Club offers family-friendly weekend and school holiday events.
The project is part-financed by a Small Business Boost Loan from Kent County Council and small grants from Ramsgate Town Council and Social Enterprise Kent
