Vincent van Gogh Trail

Following in the Footsteps of Vincent van Gogh around Ramsgate

Vincent van Gogh stayed in Ramsgate during 1876 and this new trail has been created using extracts from his letters to his brother Theo, and is approximately 1.6miles/2.6kms long.

Starting in Spencer Square see the bronze bust sculpture created by Anthony Padgett, read the information panel and see 11 Spencer Square where Vincent lived. Move on to Royal Road where Vincent worked as a teaching assistant before making your way down into Ramsgate's Royal Harbour

If you prefer to avoid the steps (stage 7), it is 1.9 miles (3.2kms). If you would like to try the longer trail (6.1 miles/9.8kms one-way), the details can be found on the back of this leaflet.
