A solo show featuring the work of Laura L Bell, winner of The Lido Open 2025 as selected by Sophie von Hellermann and Kristen Healy at The Lido Stores in Margate.

Open Thursday - Saturday 11am-4pm

The show features surreal, still-life paintings, featuring objects taken from the artist’s life and dreams set in twilight landscapes and white fogs. Inspired by the painting Brighton Pierrots by Walter Sickert, and her own memories of growing up in a seaside town, the works reflect the underlying melancholy of a place that exists for pleasure whilst always looking outward into the void of the sea.
