Twinkle Troughton's practice centres on English landscapes, exploring hidden histories, migration, ecology and entangled legacies through painting and writing.

Through a series of oil paintings on paper and accompanying text, Twinkle Troughton responds to and reflects on the holm oak. A tree native to southern Europe, North Africa and Turkey, it's one of Margate's most populous trees due to its resilience to salty air.
