Travel across Africa as you follow the giant map of the continent, stopping in Kenya, Namibia and the Republic of the Congo. Along the way, the curator will share enchanting stories inspired by each country and connected to objects from the museum’s collections.
This welcoming, hands-on day for families, children and visitors of all ages includes:
A guided story tour for children – a fun and engaging curator-led journey for young explorers and their families.
Adinkra printing activities – drop in and create your own design inspired by traditional Ghanian symbols.
African drumming sessions – enjoy the rhythm, movement and music.
Explore our African collections – discover the world-renowned animal dioramas alongside material culture objects from across Africa.
All activities are included with your standard admission ticket.
