After a seance Mr Condomine is visited by his glamorous deceased ex-wife, Elvira.

Ruth, his current wife, is tested to her limits. The eccentric medium Madame Arcati tries to resolve the peculiar situation with her unpredictable magic. All performed by trained actors in a punk fashion to Richard Torry's avant-garde soundtrack
