A performance-led project working with displaced people and local residents to creatively resist border surveillance... part of The Big Welcome - a week long celebration of the contribution refugees make to our community

Welcoming people with lived experience of displacement, and those who support the right of refugees to live freely!

Launching during Refugee Week with food and music, these creative workshops exploring movement, sound, and storytelling invite people with lived experience of displacement & those who share the value that people who arrive in the UK seeking safety have the right to live freely.

Led by the Body as Data collective, the sessions centre on creative agency and cultural expression - and will feed into the Body as Data project’s larger performance mapping event and digital archive that remaps erased histories and reclaims space across the Kent coast.

These sessions throughout June & July will culminate in a filmed performance event on Sunday 20 July that re-maps erased histories and reclaims space across the Kent coast.

Booking is essential. Spaces are free to people with lived experience of displacement. For others please consider making a donation.
