Careless is a sharp, intimate and unexpectedly hilarious look into what happens when life forces you to slow down - whether you want to or not... at the Tom Thumb Theatre in Margate

Tara’s life is fast, filtered, and carefully curated - until a broken leg confines her to her upstairs flat with nothing but her thoughts and the odd biscuit. With nothing else to do, she starts observing her street: Doreen, the nosy neighbour with militant bin habits; Bert, who moves slower than time itself; and a string of passers-by with their own rituals and baggage.

Careless is a timely exploration of loneliness in a connected world, the slow decay of community, and the bittersweet comedy of neighbours we try to avoid but somehow deeply need.

Written with raw honesty and wit by Katie McGarry, Careless holds up a mirror to the lives we live just out of frame and asks what it means to really see each other
