Margate Arts Club welcomes CRABS & Guests to Northdown Road for a storming night of sounds...
7pm -2am
Legendary Margate curmudgeons CRABS bring their angry sound of middle-aged Margate to the heart of Northdown Road for the first time.
Write what you know, they said. And so CRABS began documenting the mundanity of their lives and the world around them. Without meaning to, they discovered anger, excitement and the universal truth: everywhere smells of skunk.
Special guests hot-footing it over from London for the night are The Sha Sha Shanimals. Their debut single Best Dressed Chicken in Town is a foot-stomping beehive-tugging rip-roaring selvedge-led behemoth of a tune.
Also playing will be long-time friend of CRABS, Harmony Bo, playing her unique brand old school music hall with a punky edge, with rapid fire politically-charged lyrics about her experiences and thoughts growing up as a woman in a Tory (and now Reform) riddled Britain.
After the bands, Aitch and Sista G will be spinning punk, new wave, ska and soul records into the small hours.
Guaranteed to be the most fun you can have on the NDR without steak bake...
