Dean Rodney Jr. is a prolific musician with Learning Disabilities and Autism, who describes his music as a mix between hiphop and pop. In the last 4 years Dean has written and recorded over 50 albums, describing a fictional alternative version of the present day, Dean TV World.
Dean’s backing band are the Cowboys, including Rosie Ridgway of Ravioli Me Away, Amy Maskell of Peluché and It Was All A Dream, Jack Barraclough of Halo Halo and Charles Prest of Flamingod’s and Noon Garden.
Previously Dean was lead singer of the legendary band The Fish Police who toured globally and is currently supported by Heart n Soul, a creative arts organisation who believe in the power and talents of people with Learning Disabilities and Autistic people.
Dean Rodney Jr. & The Cowboys have played over the U.K including Supernormal, Contrapop and Jupiter Rising festivals, receiving feedback such as ‘life-affirming, inspirational and uplifting’. They have also played at Earth, Hackney, The De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, and the Wellcome Trust, London.
