A new club night focused on celebrating global, underground dance music, presented in an intimate setting with a strong emphasis on sound quality and thoughtful selection.

Curation sits at the heart of Emotional Content. Lineups are assembled carefully, with time taken to choose artists from around the world whose musical approach and depth align with the ethos of the night. The focus is on long-form flow and atmosphere rather than profile or trend.

Sound plays a key role in the experience. Emotional Content is presented on Margate Arts Club’s pure analogue, hand-tuned sound system, custom built for audio pleasure and centred around an ISONOE mixer. The system prioritises warmth, clarity and dynamics, delivering a balanced and immersive sound without excess volume.
The sound system has been praised by respected figures including Colleen Murphy, Gilles Peterson, DJ Nori and Luke Una, among others.

The night is open, inclusive and respectful. Emotional Content welcomes diversity in people, music and expression, aiming to create a comfortable and considered environment on the dancefloor.
