Experimental Drawing Classes

8th September - 29th September 2026

4 experimental drawing classes with artist Flora Parrott on Tuesday evenings at The Neptune's Hall pub in Broadstairs.

Dates: Tuesdays in September: 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th

Time: 6pm-7:30pm

The pub will be closed to the public so you will have the whole space to work. Drawing boards, easels, paper and materials will all be provided. The class will run for an hour and a half from 6-7:30 pm and the bar will open at the end of the session for a review of the works produced.

No experience necessary. Materials provided. All levels welcome.

The class will be based on a still life arrangement but testing a range of experimental techniques and looking at the work of contemporary artists.

Please attend all four sessions if possible.

Class 1 : Kiki Smith - surface and texture

Class 2: William Kentridge – gesture, expression and action

Class 3: Tanya Kovats – mapping and exploration through material

Class 4: Kara Walker – graphite, pastel and cut paper
