Exhibition of cat-inspired artworks across a large range of disciplines
Pie Factory, Margate, hosts this exhibition as part of the Festival of Cats, showing paintings, prints, drawings, collage, ceramics and sculpture... all inspired by cats.
Festival of Cats is returning to Margate for 2026 with a bigger-than-ever programme of exhibitions, events and workshops.
The Festival started as a satellite event for Turner Contemporary's "Journeys with The Waste Land" exhibition in 2018. Born from a love of T.S.Eliot's “Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats' and much like the book, the festival celebrates the psychology, sociology and whimsy of cats. It's now grown to become a Thanet-wide event with thousands of visitors.
The full Festival takes place every two years, with pop up events in between.
