One of the best summer parties you’ll be guaranteed to find!
DiY Soundsystem- A group set up in Nottingham in the late 80’s before peaking during the free party heyday of the 90’s at the infamous Castlemorton free festival.
Sands began DJing as one half of the partnership Digs and Woosh, with the duo starting out due to their shared love of hip hop, funk, post punk, disco & jazz. By ’91, they were key in helping define the deep house sound for which the collective became famous for.
Described by Factory Records’, Tony Wilson, as "Culturally the most dangerous people in the UK", the collective were political, inclusive and purveyors of quality music, who performed throughout the US, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
Joining Grace to kick off the evening is Northdown (fka DJ Ant C). Beardy DJ, promoter, collaborator, producer… Founder of Love Is For Everybody, co-founder and resident DJ at the TUSK and Orgazm parties, and collaborator with the Queer Neon collective.
A northern smalltown boy, Northdown discovered house music in the late 80’s and attended his first rave as a 15 year old in 1990. It has been a long musical voyage of discovery ever since.
Head along for the whole night... the restaurant and bar will be open from 6pm, with some of the best food, cocktails and seaside & sunset views the UK has to offer.
A night of unapologetic pleasures... See you on the dancefloor!
