Join Nicci at Happy Reading Children’s Bookshop this February half term to celebrate the first ever Bear and Bird picture book! At Staple in St Peters

9.30am - 10am

Join Nicci for a brilliant school holidays book club to celebrate the gorgeous first picture book that's the origin story of two much-loved characters, Bear and Bird, plus a love of imagination and reading books. With stunning and dreamy illustrations, it's so charming and heartwarming. Great timing for the World Book Day season and The National Year of Reading 2026.

Readers all across the world have fallen in love with Bear and Bird through Jarvis's young reader series. Now the duo features in their youngest adventure yet!

Recommended for: Ages 2+

Ticket includes a FREE copy of the book (RRP £12.99)

The bookshop is on the first floor, accessed via a flight of stairs.

Children will sit for the reading, then move to a play/craft table for activities. All materials are provided and age-appropriate.

Adults may stay for the event (limited seating available) or relax with a coffee and pastry downstairs in Staple.
