Heritage Open Days: Sonic Trail (11-13)

11th September - 13th September 2026

Sonic Trail: Acoustic Architecture part of Ramsgate Festival of Sound

12pm-4pm

The Sonic Trail comprises sound installations specially commissioned by the Ramsgate Festival of Sound and will shine a light on the incredible architecture of Ramsgate using the medium of sound.

Taking inspiration from this year’s theme, ‘Everyday Histories,' artists will create sound-based work to reflect past lives and local history in and around Ramsgate. As part of Ramsgate Festival of Sound, the Sonic Trail is a chance for people to walk around the town and discover something fascinating about Ramsgate's rich heritage through the medium of sound. 8 different locations around town, there may be a timed entry or you may have to wait to enter smaller venues. Full details via the website. Festival kicks off on Thursday 10th September and Sonic Trails will be open to the public Friday 11th - Sunday 13th Sept
