Three young Kent-based bands showcase their talent at one of Margate's best live music venues...
Doors open 7pm
The first ever Kent Pop Exchange showcase is taking place in Margate!
There are three young music acts performing, Polo Lounge and Fuji Hideout - both from Canterbury, and The Rambling Club from Tunbridge Wells.
A great chance to support up-and-coming talent from Kent - and help our local live music industry to thrive...
Polo Lounge are a four-piece indie/alternative rock powerhouse, fusing post-punk rhythms with gritty, immersive layers.
The Rambling Club formed on the south coast of England, and fuse anthemic indie rock with washed-out shoegaze. Their second EP That's Life, was released in April 2024.
Fuji Hideout is writer and producer Marcus Bishop, combining retro-tainted Indie Dreampop, vintage synthscapes, tough drum beats, and ambient layers of vocal and ethereal atmosphere, to create the sonic footprint of his sound.
The Kent Pop Exchange (KPX) is a programme of gigs, workshops, and events centred on platforming, developing and celebrating the emerging grassroots music culture in Kent, based out of one of Kent’s flagship grassroots venues, Where Else? As a community oriented organisation made up of working class people, the Kent Pop Exchange strive to platform and elevate a diverse range of backgrounds, voices and perspectives, on and off the stage.
