Hip-hop Love: A night celebrating hiphop’s heritage and 45 years of the breaks at Olby's Soul Cafe in Margate
7pm - midnight
Kurtis Blow is the first commercially successful rap artist, a towering figure in hip-hop history, and he’s coming to Olby’s for one night only.
Blow has been breaking records for 45 years: the first rapper to sign with (and release an album for) a major label; the first to have a single certified gold ('The Breaks'); the first to embark on a national (and international) concert tour; and the first to cement rap’s mainstream marketability by signing an endorsement deal.
A living legend of 80s hip-hop, Blow has toured globally, performed with icons, and shaped the sound that would define generations.
Join Olby's for an evening full of nostalgia, energy and hip-hop love.
