The exhibition shows a new collection of freestyle embroideries, on silk fabrics dyed with natural dyeing processes. Anna Tuhus is an artist, with an expertise in narrative and textiles.

Introduction To Narrative Embroidery
Practice the six basic handsewing stitches, with whitework and blackwork.
Draw a line on a piece of fabric.
Pinpoint a sequence of events:
The positioning of dots, lines and shapes indicates movement for narrative composition.
This technique offers a great deal of freedom of expression.
All experience levels are welcome.

Rhythmic pattern design and textile pad printing
For Young People age 12-18
Repeat a form in three stanzas:
One pattern follows relatively precise form alignments.
One pattern separates the form into space for perspective.
One pattern overlaps the form to cover a surface.
Bring your patterns to a cloth:
Beat a rhythm on layered fabrics to make your own two designs.

Mend And Repair
Hand sewing for darning and repairing
Practice the six basic hand sewing stitches.
Learn stitching and darning for textiles and garment repairs.
Do needleweaving and patchwork to cover holes and stains.
Add decorative details for personalisation.
Mending and repairing is a good thing to do.
