A life drawing class for all abilities where you'll learn how to see the human figure with confidence and clarity at the Turner Contemporary

11.30am - 1pm

This welcoming life drawing class is designed for all levels. Toby will take you through guided warm-ups, quick gesture sketches, and longer observational poses with a focus on movement, proportion, and simple structure - not perfection.

No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to draw.

A relaxed, supportive environment makes this an ideal introduction to life drawing.

During the workshop you'll explore:

Gentle warm-ups to loosen up and build confidence.
Fast gesture drawings to capture movement and energy.
Simple shapes approach to understand the human figure.
Guided practice on proportion and observation.
One longer pose to slow down and really see.
Easy introduction to line weight and light/shadow.
