Join Stephen Daly for the Margate launch of his debut YA novel The Last Death Poet, a celebration of queer fiction and Irish mythology at Margate Arts Club

7pm - 9pm

Stephen will be in conversation with the author and podcaster Ruby Rare as they explore Irish mythology, queer representation in YA Irish fiction and writing the book across multiple coffee shops in Margate.

They will also be joined by drag performers Shelly Grotto and Father JC in this inclusive celebration of queer fiction and culture.

Stephen Daly is an author and photographer from Belfast. With a background in theatre, Stephen knows that storytelling is the best way to reflect the complexities of life. The Last Death Poet has personal resonance; Stephen grew up as a queer young man during the Troubles and left the country at eighteen to try and be himself. He believes it's time to tell more queer Irish stories. The Last Death Poet is Stephen's debut YA novel; an LGBTQ+ coming-of-age novel set in Belfast with a paranormal twist.
