Margate Reggae Festival

12th July 2025
Dreamland Margate

The first line-up announcement is packed with reggae legends and trailblazers who represent the genre’s rich history, including reggae-fusion star Maxi Priest, and pioneers of the 2 Tone ska revival The Selecter. The legendary Mad Professor, a key figure in dub reggae’s second generation, and Trojan Sound System, an institution in British sound system culture, will also join.

British reggae icon Bitty McLean, known for his soulful lovers’ rock, joins alongside Birmingham’s celebrated artist Pato Banton, one of reggae’s original queens Dawn Penn, and leading roots reggae and dub ensemble, Real Roots. Jungle pioneer Congo Natty will take to the stage alongside UK veteran General Levy. Throughout the day, Rompa’s Reggae Shack will keep the energy high with a mix of reggae, dub, dancehall, and jungle.
