Paradise explores the relationship with ecology, creativity, and queerness, taking place at CAMP in Margate.
7pm - 9pm
Presented by SparkBoom Productions, a Production Company based in Margate & London specialising in Short Films, Experimental Film and Artists Moving Image.
'Paradise' is about trans/non-binary artist gardener Mol Benge.
Mol’s study of ecology — both in their horticultural work and artistic practice — has developed an intimate, poetic understanding of the natural world which became both salve and guide to their own exploration of identity.
The film is a kaleidoscopic celebration that explores the relationship with ecology, creativity, and queerness. The film is tender in tone, shot on 16mm film, and features an original hand-painted animation by Mol. It weaves together the personal and environmental. Much of the film was shot here in Margate.
Screening followed by a Q&A with Mol & Iso [film maker]
