A living legend whose work has inspired entire scenes, paving the way for the Nordic Disko explosion of the 00's (no Rune means no Todd Terje, Lindstrom or DJ Fett Burger) at Margate Arts Club

Rune has been (not so)-quietly steering the course of modern dance music for over three decades.

A pioneering radio DJ, engineer, producer and remixer, his joy-filled approach has taken him everywhere.

From early 90's Hacienda classics with his band Volcano to the nu-disco spawning work as Those Norwegians (with future Royksopp members) and Meanderthals (with the Idjut Boys), to remixes for The Knife and Bryan Ferry, never mind his many aliases and prodigious psyschedelic edits, along with residencies at Plastic People, Pike's and the fabled Nomaden in Oslo....

Unsurprisingly his DJ sets are ecstatic celebrations of rhythm where anything goes, so long as it's funky, bending disco, house, dub, techno and pop in to glorious new shapes. Don't miss out on seeing one of the best to ever do it on Margate's finest sound-system, winding out your bank holiday with purely positive vibes.
