Sausage And Cider Fest (18 July)

18th July 2026
Quex Park

The Sausage & Cider Festival returns to Quex Park in Birchington!

12pm - 10pm

The Sausage & Cider Festival will also return to Thanet’s Quex Park on Saturday 18th July 2026, bringing back its huge outdoor stage and a full day of live entertainment for all ages. The festival promises a lively atmosphere packed with music, food and festival fun.

This year, festivalgoers can enjoy 30+ cider flavours, alongside craft beer, spirits, wine, cocktails and soft drinks. Food lovers can choose from 20+ sausage varieties, including flavours such as maple and chilli, as well as vegetarian and cheese options.

The event will once again feature a large festival market and on-stage sausage eating competitions, adding to the day’s high-energy entertainment.

Adding to the excitement, this year’s event will be headlined by actor and TV star Mathew Horne (best known for his role in Gavin & Stacey), who will take to the stage for a special DJ set packed with feel-good party anthems.

He’ll also be joined by a host of crowd-pleasing special guests, including Pat Sharp’s FunHouse Party DJ Set, bringing classic throwback tunes and party vibes, and Barrioke: The Final UK Tour, where festivalgoers can take centre stage for a mass singalong with the one and only Barry from EastEnders.

Hosting the day’s entertainment will be fan-favourite Big John BOSH!, keeping the energy high with his larger-than-life personality and festival antics throughout the event.

Families are well catered for, with a dedicated children’s stage offering a children’s disco, face painting, live entertainers and character dress-ups, making it a fun-filled day for festivalgoers of all
ages.

This event will run from 12:00-22:00. Under 18’s must be accompanied by someone above the age of 21.

No more than 3 under 18’s can be accompanied by the same 21 year old. Children under 5 go free.

A message from Grace Jones – Marketing Manager Sausage & Cider Festival “Sausage and Cider Festival outdoors is a feel-good event with great music, a huge variety of cider flavours and great independent food operators. We are excited to be able to host our event Thanet again in 2026.”
